Suranne Jones
Sarah Anne Jones (also known as Suranne Jones) is an actor and producer from England. The Suranne Jones character is an actress and producer from the UK. She gained fame playing Ruth Slater, the detective in the police procedural "Scott & Bailey in the series 'Scott & Bailey', in addition to Gemma Foster, the GP in a medical drama 'Doctor Foster.' Jones was born from Chadderton situated in Greater Manchester, joined Oldham Theatre Workshop and earned her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. As a part of a stage production called Wait Until Dark, she was Gloria when she was just eight years old. In 1997 the year she first appeared onscreen in a "Coronation Street' episode. She returned in 2000 for the show as Karen McDonald. Following the end of ITV's soap, she appeared in a number of characters in television shows such as 'Vincent", 'Strictly Confessional" and Harley Street. In addition, she has been seen on screen in films like "Love and A Long Shot Broken Hearts', 'Love and a Long Shot'' and 'A Christmas Star.
